KUALA LUMPUR: The novel Wuhan coronavirus outbreak has some implications on Serba Dinamik Holdings Berhad’s (Serba Dinamik) business activities, but mitigation plans have been put in place to alleviate effects.

Its group managing director and chief executive officer Datuk Dr Ir Mohd Abdul Karim Abdullah said that he was confident in meeting set targets despite the outbreak’s effects.

“If you look at Serba Dinamik as a group, we have operation and maintenance (O&M); engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning (EPCC); Information Technology (IT) solutions; and also education and training.

“So, if we see that certain business components are slowing down, then the think tank group will come in to look at other areas to compensate for this,” he explained during an interview on Wednesday (February 5) at Menara Serba Dinamik here.

He expressed confidence in Serba Dinamik riding through this episode given its global geographical positioning and different revenue contributors to the group’s revenue.

“I would say the situation is still manageable,” said Mohd Abdul Karim.

Since its humble beginning 27 years ago, Serba Dinamik has grown and established its presence in 25 countries, including the United Kingdom, United States, Qatar, United Arab Emirates, Australia, India, and more.
