Serba Dinamik to organise Beyond Paradigm Summit 2019 in KL, Kuching

SHAH ALAM: In its quest to propel and inspire businesses to the forefront of digital transformation era, Serba Dinamik Holdings Berhad will be hosting “Beyond Paradigm Summit 2019” next month, the first ever digital transformation summit.

Set to be officiated by Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir Mohamad, the summit to be held in Kuala Lumpur on July 17-18 and Kuching on July 20-21, will showcase advanced technologies encapsulating the core ideas of digitalisation and data exchange surrounding Industrial Revolution 4.0 (IR4.0).

Serba Dinamik’s vice president for special projects and training division Dr Mohamed Ackiel Mohamed said, looking at the current global trend and the quick pace of technology advancement of IR4.0, the time has come for businesses to act and transform in order to survive and stay relevant.

“There is a clarion call for the various industries to experience a paradigm shift to a higher value-added process, digitisation, advanced manufacturing technologies and efficient resource utilisation to drive competitiveness going forward,” he told Bernama in an interview recently.

Mohamed Ackiel who is also the summit’s organising committee member invites Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and start-up companies with innovative solutions who wish to optimise and increase the productivity of their businesses to attend the summit.

“We want to bring them together and we are bringing world-renowned speakers who are respected figures in their fields to share their knowledge and experiences, to share with them on what it takes to jump into the digital revolution and to learn from their mistakes.”

Among the speakers expected to participate in the summit includes Microsoft Malaysia’s director of corporate affairs Jasmine Begum, chief executive officer of Malaysia Automotive Robotics and IoT Institute Datuk Madani Sahari, chief technology officer of MIMOS Thillai Raj and chief executive officer of Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC) Surina Shukri.

Serba Dinamik’s group chief executive officer Datuk Dr Ir Mohd Karim Abdullah will also be among the renowned speaker.

Topics to be discussed at the summit include on the future of autonomous and electrical vehicles, the Artificial Intelligence (AI) enabled workforce, advancements in health care and robotics as well as the move from blockchain to tangle chain in the fintech industry.

A robot called “Sophia The Robot”, which utilises artificial intelligence (AI), visual data processing and facial recognition is also slated to make a special appearance during the summit.

“Sophia” according to Mohamed Ackiel will also put her debating skills on the line with a “debate” with Youth and Sports Minister Syed Saddiq Syed Abdul Rahman, apart from demonstrating her singing and painting skills to the delegates.

Members of the public are welcome to attend the exhibition, to be held during the summit at both locations.
