Serian interchange opens to motorists

SERIAN: After some four years of construction works since 2016, the Serian Interchange-2 flyover located near Danu Lake and St Theresa Church here is now officially open to the public.

Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg officiated at the opening ceremony during his visit here today.

Abang Johari was earlier briefed on the progress of the flyover and the background of the project.

The chief minister was accompanied by Education, Science and Technological Research Minister Datuk Seri Michael Manyin Jawong and Assistant Minister of Utilities (Water Supply) Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi among others.

Earlier, he also conducted a site visit to the State Government complex and Serian Convention Centre project.

The RM87 million complex will be completed by June 2022, while the convention centre is scheduled for completion in May next year.

The chief minister and his entourage also visited the Slabi Water Treatment Plant project.
