MUKAH: The Tellian constituency Service Centre contributed 25 units of oximeter to Mukah Division Health Department here on Tuesday (Sept 21).

Its special officer Felix Pieng, representing Tellian assemblyman Yussibnosh Balo, handed over the contribution to Mukah division health officer Dr Huzaimah Husin at Mukah District Office in a simple ceremony.

Dr Huzaimah said an oximeter is used to monitor the oxygen level in a person’s body, particularly for those who are currently under home quarantine.

She added it would also be lent to senior citizens and poor people who are under home quarantine.

“We will call them daily to check and monitor their oxygen level and if found to be abnormal, appropriate action would be taken,” she said after the handing over ceremony.

She added once the individual has completed the quarantine period and found to be free from any infection, the oximeter would be taken back.

Mukah district officer Shafrie Saili and Mukah Hospital Visitors Board chairman councillor Jay Keram also attended the event.
