Servicemen, mosque committee thankful to CM

KUCHING: Chief Minister Datuk Patinggi Abang Johari Tun Openg presented a contribution from the state government to Major General Datuk Dzulkafli Mustaffa of the 1st Infantry Division Commander and patron of Solahuddin al Ayyubi Mosque at Kem Penrissen, today.

The brief ceremony to hand over the donation cheque was held after the Friday prayer at the camp’s mosque.

At the same time, Abang Johari also received a souvenir as a sign of appreciation and gratitude.

“Army personnel as well as members of the committee of Solahuddin al Ayyubi Mosque are very grateful for the contribution and the concern of the state government in the effort to develop and improve the management of the mosque,” Dzulkafli said.

Also present at the ceremony were Army East Field Commander Lieutenant General Datuk Mardzuki Muhammad, Deputy State Secretary Datuk Seri Mohamad Abu Bakar Marzuki and Assistant Minister in the Chief Minister’s Department (Islamic Affairs and DBKU) Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi.
