SIBURAN: Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Mambong branch committee has been urged to set up a special sub-committee to oversee the planning and implementation of future programmes in the constituency.

Simanggang assemblyman Datuk Francis Harden Hollis, who is the caretaker of the SUPP branch, said the proposed sub-committee would serve as a platform for collective planning and decision-making.

This, he said, would subsequently ensure better, organised and successful implementation of the programmes planned for the area.

“The key to success is cooperation which is needed from all parties involved including the SUPP sub-branches in Mambong.

“If there is no cooperation, it is just similar to ‘unsynchronised beats which could not produce beautiful music’. Therefore, we must work hand-in-hand towards a common goal,” Harden said.

He said this after chairing the SUPP Mambong branch committee meeting at Siburan SUPP Office here on Sunday.

Apart from Mambong, SUPP also set has up its branches in Opar and Engkilili constituencies.

Also present were SUPP Mambong branch chairperson Datin Jeniffer Chee, Braang sub-branch chairperson Councillor Jimson Jium Sunggong, Semadang sub-branch chairperson Cr Ahkim Sarok and Siburan sub-branch chairperson Kapitan Thian Eyian Chiong.
