Seven areas end EMCO, two to begin

KUCHING: The Sarawak Disaster Management Committee (SDMC) has declared that enhanced movement control order (EMCO) be imposed at two localities in Sarawak.

EMCO will be imposed at Rh Ujit, Sg Rayah, Bintangor in Meradong District from July 7 to 23, and at Rh Joseph, Nanga Bangkit, Spaoh in Betong District from July 8 to 21.

“The EMCO at Nanga Tada Resettlement Scheme in Kanowit District will be extended to cover the period of July 11 to 17,” SDMC said on Wednesday (July 7).

On a lighter note, SDMC announced the lifting of the EMCO at seven localities.

The EMCO ended on July 6 at Union Engineering (Signa Jaya) Quarters, Setinggan Jalan Kidurong, and the rental premises above Kedai Jom Ngeteh in Bintulu District. 

The EMCO at Rh Charles Ujang, Sg Sap in Tatau District also ended on July 6.

SDMC said the EMCO imposed at two localities in Sarikei District, namely Rh Man, Simpang Koko, Sg Paoh and Rh Assun, Simpang Koko, Sg Paoh had come to an end on July 7.

“The EMCO enforced at Rh Marphy, Selanjan, Sebemban Asal, Pantu in Sri Aman District has been lifted effective July 7.”
