MUKAH: Seven compounds were issued to individuals for flouting the movement control order (MCO) standard operating procedures (SOP) at the Jebungan roadblock here on Tuesday (June 1).

Mukah district police chief DSP Muhamad Rizal Alias said the compounds were issued between 7am and 3pm.

He explained that six of the compounds were issued for contravening the two persons per vehicle limit while the other was issued for not having inter-district travelling permit from the police.

He added generally, there were less vehicles on the road during the MCO.

Meanwhile, he advised the people here to always comply with the SOP and to avoid going out if there was nothing important to attend to.

He warned that strict enforcement would be carried out including issuing compound to individuals found not adhering to the SOP throughout MCO.

He also advised the people who wanted to travel to other district to apply for permit first from the nearest police station.
