SAMARAHAN: A total of seven teams will compete for the title in the Samarahan League 2017 football tournament which will start on August 12.
Organising chairman, Mohd Iskana Bujang said three of the teams were last season’s teams namely, Sambir Bistari, Ocean Eagle and KAPAKU while the four newcomers are Tebelu United, Muara Tuang, Simunjan and Lariwoo FC (Sadong Jaya).
“We are expecting a new wave of competitive rivalry as most teams have experienced players,” said Mohd.Iskana when met last Thursday.
“Matches will be played at UNIMAS field and Samarahan Mini Stadium,” he added. – By Faizal Bujang
