Seven to compete for Taekwondo’s black belt

MUKAH: Four Taekwondo exponents from Mukah will be representing the State at the national championship to be held in Peninsula Malaysia.

The venue of the competition for the Malaysia Global Taekwondo Federation (MGTF) Taekwondo and Invi tat ional Junior Black Belt 2018 will be in Kuantan, Pahang. The group from this fast growing district would be joined by another three exponents from Sibu Division at this three-day event from August 17 to 19.

They are Muhammad Izzadtul Syafiq Zaidi, Muhammad Syahmin Afiq Zaidi, Siti Shahrizah Zaidi and Kristina Kiew from Mukah, while, Dyg Airil Izzah Abg Ahmad Zaini, Amran Ali, and Mas Izzati Mohamad from Sibu.

Meanwhile, the local Taekwondo Instructor, Zaidi Morshidi, had been appointed to lead the group from Sarawak as the team manager. A handover of the State’s flag by Mukah Division Youth and Sports Officer, Mahadir Dahari to Zaidi was held here on Tuesday (August 14).
