KUCHING: The Lotus Light Charity Society and Fatt Lung Tang Buddhist Association will be organising a blood donation drive this Sunday (July 18).

Lotus Light has collaborated with the Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) Blood Bank to help support the latter’s everyday supply needs, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Blood Bank has appealed for donors as its supplies have dropped, especially for Blood Type B.

The blood donation drive will be held at SGH’s Blood Bank Centre from 9am to 3pm and all are welcomed.

A pack of 5kg rice will be given to the first 50 donors as a token of appreciation.

Earlier this month, Lotus Light delivered personal protective equipment comprising 3,000 face shields and 2,000 N95 masks to SGH frontliners.

Goods and masks were also donated to the non-governmental organisation Hope Place for distribution to the needy.
