KUCHING: Sarawak General Hospital (SGH) has received a contribution of over RM100,000 contribution to purchase non-medical equipment.

Bandar Kuching incumbent MP Dr Kelvin Yii said the contribution from his allocations was handed over to the hospital’s Persatuan Penjagaan Kesihatan.

He said the money will be used to purchase more than 100 units of three-person waiting chair as well as computer equipment for the specialists’ room.

“Healthcare is something close to my heart and something that I have been championing since I was elected as a representative.

“I have invested a sum of about RM830,000 to healthcare in my constituency alone,” he said in a social media post on Tuesday (Nov 1).

Dr Yii stated it is important to ensure the people in the constituency get the best available quality of health care.

He said one of the ways to improve the quality of health care is to improve the facilities and help take care of the welfare of the health care staff.
