KUALA LUMPUR: Veteran kegler, Shalin Zulkifli proved she still has the prowess in bowling by winning the women’s singles gold medal at the 25th Asian Tenpin Bowling Championship, Tuesday.
The 41-year-old, who was excluded from the Las Vegas World Championships squad in August and missed the National Championships due to back injury prior to that, made a commendable comeback at the new 48-lane Kuwait Bowling Sporting Club on the first day of the tournament.
The three-time world champion secured the gold after scoring 1,498 pinfalls in the event, clawing back from third place in the penultimate (fifth) game, for a six-pin advantage over Indonesia’s Nadia Pramanik, according to the Asian Bowling Federation’s official website. – Bernama
