MIRI: A teenage boy was alone at home at Jalan Chee Chuan when he discovered a metre-long snake coiled underneath a sofa.
In the 1pm incident on Tuesday afternoon, the 17- year-old boy was on his way to grab some food in the kitchen when he heard a hissing noise.
Curious, he stopped to check and was very shocked at the sight of the reptile.
He ran to his room and called Miri Civil Defence Force (APM) for help.
Three APM personnel rushed to the house after receiving the call at 1.09pm. It took them less than 15 minutes to catch the snake.
