KUCHING: Two brothers were terrified and considered themselves fortunate that they were not harmed by four intruders who entered their house at Jalan Stephen Yong at 3.30am yesterday.

Three of the intruders were wearing masks.

The two siblings were robbed at knife point with their hands and legs tied and mouths gagged.

When interviewed by New Sarawak Tribune, the younger siblings aged 22, said he was awakened by the robbers who pointed a knife at his neck and demanded to know where he had put his valuables.

His elder brother was also dragged to his room where they were both tied up with cables and gagged.

The intruders then ransacked the house and after they left, the two siblings untied each other before contacting the police.

Among the items stolen were an MPV (Toyota Fortuner), gold items, a laptop, handphones and RM500.

The younger sibling who is a college student said the robbers sounded like locals.

He said their parents were away in Lundu, which was why there only the two of them in the house.

The robbers had gained entry through the back window of the house.

Police had gone to the house to investigate.
