Sibu Central Market PPV starts its first operation today (12 Aug).

SIBU: Sibu Municipal Council (SMC) chairman Clarence Ting paid a visit to its Central Market vaccination centre (PPV) when it started its first operation today (Aug 12).

The centre will operate every day from 8am to 4pm.

“This PPV will provide vaccinations to the public until further notice is issued.

“This means it will continue to operate until our vaccination process is completed,” he said.

Ting added that the PPV is in a strategic location as it is located in the city centre as well as close to the bus terminal, taxi and rental car stand.

“It is also close to the Sibu Passenger Terminal and nearby jetties.

“That is why SMC strongly agreed to open the PPV as proposed by the Sibu Divisional Disaster Management Committee (DDMC).

“We hope that people who have not been vaccinated will go get their vaccine shots at this PPV,” he pointed out.

Ting also stressed that vaccination is important in order to achieve herd immunity so that the community can return to normal life as before.
