SIBU: SibuJaya’s master developer Distrepark Sdn Bhd has credited the authorities for the smooth  implementation of private-driven initiatives in the vibrant township.

Its director Mohd Fadzil Abdul Hamid said there could be no denying that the private sector would find it challenging to successfully implement any  projects without the authorities’ continued guidance and assistance.

“Be it for property development or social events, the support extended to SibuJaya by the various authorities has been very motivating.

“I believe it will spur us to go even further in our quest to create not just quality propertiesbut a quality lifestyle for the residents here,” he said after chairing a sports facility project meeting recently.

Fadzil extended his gratitude to all the authorities for their continued cooperation and was optimistic that SibuJaya would continue to become bigger, better, brighter and bolder.

On the sports facility project he was tasked with overseeing, he believed it would be a perfect addition to the long list of facilities already available or were being built in SibuJaya.

The facilities range from a petrol station,  a  police station, a fire station, supermarkets, weekend markets, private clinics, health clinics, a library, postal  outlet, fast food outlets and food courts to factories within the township.

“None of these would have been possible if it had been the single effort of a private developer. It became a reality because of the close working relationship we enjoy with the relevant authorities,” said Fadzil.

On another related matter, the director said he was excited over next year’s calendar of events which were being planned by the SibuJaya team and Sibu Rural District Council (SRDC).

“I was told that they have a lot of ideas on how to improve on the SibuJaya Fun 5 Street Carnival and make it an even bigger event,” he said, pointing out that such events were another example of how the authorities had stepped to the fore in leadership.

It has been proposed that next year’s SibuJaya Fun 5 event will run from late August to early September. It will feature the wildly popular Water Fiesta alongside the awe inspiring Fire Fiesta.

Housing and Local Government MinisterDatuk Dr Sim Kui Hian also made an impact at the event when he planted the 8,888th tree on National Day after declaring open the master developer’s sales gallery.
