SIBU: On the fourth day of the 14-day movement control order (MCO), Sibu town looked so much quieter than before.

More people seemed to be complying with the MCO as traffic got thinner by the hour.

There was also less passengers travelling out to other parts of the central region by express boats.

Many traders are closing their stalls in compliance with the MCO until March 31.

The federal government imposed the 14-day MCO from March 18 to March 31 nationwide to curb the spread of Covid-19 in Malaysia.

The control order is imposed under the Prevention and Control of Infectious Diseases Act 1988 and the Police Act 1967.
