MIRI: Sibuti assemblyman Lukanisman Awang Saini is eyeing the 15th General Election (GE15).

According to him, there would be more voters since Undi18 would be implemented – the amendment to Article 119(1) of the Federal Constitution reduces the minimum voting age from 21 to 18.

“These young people will have the choice to choose capable candidates who can deliver,” he said during a pre-Chinese New Year gathering hosted by Sibuti Parliamentary.

“The party needs to engage with this group of voters in order to secure votes for the coming GE15.”

“I believe we can still trust our current government to lead us to a better future.”

In Sibuti, there will be around 60,000 people aged more than 18 eligible to cast their votes.

At the same time, Lukanisman thanked the Chinese community in Sibuti for Gabungan Parti Sarawak’s (GPS) victory in Lambir and Bekenu in the recently-concluded state polls.
