BETONG: Deputy Minister for Women, Childhood and Community Well-being Development II, Mohammad Razi Sitam contributed RM20,000 to the state Rumpun Silat Sarawak (RSS) and RM15,000 to the Betong Region RSS.

The Saribas asemblyman announced the contribution during the Majlis Tautan Kasih Aidilfitri Citra Keluarga Malaysia organised by RSS Betong recently.

“We hope that Rumpun Silat Sarawak at the state level will remain strong … we are aware that our Premier, Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg has always supported our efforts to ensure that this martial arts heritage will be defended forever,” he said.

Therefore, Razi hoped the contributions would be utilised by RSS to further boosting programmes related to the martial art as well as in bridging and uniting the community.
