KUCHING: The flood evacuation centre at Kampung Lutong Hall, Sebangan, Simunjan, was closed at 3 pm today after all the evacuees returned home.
The National Disaster Management Committee secretariat, in a statement, said a total of 67 people, involving 18 families, from Kampung Lubok Meranti, Simunjan, were evacuated to the centre when flood hit their village following continuous rain.
The secretariat also thanked all agencies involved in the flood operations. – Bernama
