KUCHING: The Greater Kuching Coordinated Development Agency (GKCDA) organised site visits to inspect three proposed projects yesterday (Oct 25).
The projects, collectively amounting to RM50.6 million, aim to enhance transportation infrastructure and pedestrian accessibility in the region.
Among the proposed projects under GKCDA were construction of a new Sg Sadong Concrete Bridge from Kpg Hilir Serian to Kpg Kemayau; new road connecting Kpg Sorak Melayu to Jalan Slabi Mantung Merau, Serian; and construction of a new 2.5-kilometre concrete pedestrian pavement connecting Kpg Sorak Sumpung Junction to Kpg Koran Empaneg Junction.
Participants of the site visit included GKCDA chief executive officer Datuk Ik Pahon Joyik; Bukit Semuja assemblyman John Ilus; Public Works Department Serian Division representatives; respective village heads; and Bukit Semuja Service Centre officials.
