Six months stay in prison for break-in

KUCHING: A 32-year-old local man, Mohd Faizal Razali, was sentenced to six months in prison for breaking into a construction company and causing intentional damage to the construction site along Jalan Sultan Tengah.

He pleaded guilty to a charge under Section 457 of the Penal Code read before Magistrate Syarifah Fatimah Azura Wan Ali.

The incident occurred on July 21 at approximately 3.50pm, when an employee of the construction company, arrived at the site and witnessed a man fleeing upon hearing his voice.

Mohd Faizal Razali was unsuccessful in his attempt to steal air-conditioning wires and electrical lamp wires during the break-in.

The estimated loss arising from the incident was around RM680.

Inspector Mohd Adzmei Ahmad appeared for the prosecution.
