KUCHING: Six people aged between 18 and 26 were arrested in a budget hotel here for several drug offences. Two are females while the rest are males.
They were all tested positive for drugs. Acting on a tip-off, police raided a budget hotel at about 10pm last Saturday.
During the raid, the police seized from the six 7 grams of marijuana, 29 grams of ‘syabu’ in plastic bags. The estimated value of the marijuana is RM321 while the syabu is RM490.
The six are to be charged under Section 39(A) together with Section 6 and Section 12(2) of the Dangerous Drug Act, 1952. They are being detained pending further investigation.
