Six suspected cases negative; two awaiting results

KUCHING: Results of the six of the eight suspected cases of the novel coronavirus in Sarawak are negative.

Medical authorities are still awaiting results of the remaining two.

State Disaster Management Committee (JPBN) chairman Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas told that of the eight suspected cases reported, five were in Kuching while Sibu, Miri, and Bintulu had one case each.

The two cases awaiting results are from Kuching and Miri.

Among the eight, four are local, three China nationals, and one Thai.

This was revealed during a press conference following a JPBN meeting at Wisma Bapa Malaysia here today.
