GEDONG: The Smart Vaccination Certificate will boost the public’s confidence to engage in safe tourism activities, thereby accelerating the nation’s economic recovery phase, said federal Tourism, Arts and Culture Minister Datuk Seri Nancy Shukri.

“We pray that this year will be a more progressive year especially when the government, through the Covid-19 Vaccine Supply Access Guarantee Special Committee (JKJAV), is drafting the Smart Vaccination Certificate as a confirmation document for individuals who have received the Covid-19 vaccine,” she said.

“I urge all parties to immediately register for the National Covid-19 Immunisation Programme through the MySejahtera application,” she said.

She said this at the Batang Sadong Heritage Cuisine Finals programme for the Gedong area at the Gedong Community Hall today (Mar 26).

Nancy, who is also Batang Sadong MP, urged everyone to take the opportunity to enliven domestic tourism as a joint effort.

She believed there were many more interesting destinations in the country which had not been fully explored yet, adding that there were many more cultural and art-related activities which could be appreciated.

“In this regard, I hope Malaysians will be responsible tourists and enjoy the experience of cultural performances without being careless and complacent in adhering to the standard operating procedure set,” she said.
