SMK Bako’s 2021 STPM results a proud achievement

KUCHING: SMK Bako’s performance in the 2021 Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) examination is something to be proud of.

According to Deputy Minister for Energy and Environmental Sustainability, Dr Hazland Abang Hipni, the success was due to the efforts of all parties, including teachers, students and parents.

“In fact, this success is also the result of my continuous efforts to improve the level of education through the organisation of academic programmes, school infrastructure projects and motivational programmes,” he said on Friday (Aug 19).

“I hope SMK Bako’s success will continue in the future. At the same time, I hope this success will inspire other schools in Demak Laut,” said the Demak Laut assemblyman.

Meanwhile, special needs student, Nur Hamizah Mohd Fuzi, scored a CGPA of 3.42.

On Thursday (Aug 18), Sarawak Education Department director Datuk Dr Azhar Ahmad said 10 schools in Sarawak scored a Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of more than 3.00.

The schools are SMK Bako Kuching, SMK Sacred Heart Sibu, SMK Batu Lintang Kuching, SMK Merbau Miri, SMK Sungai Merah Sibu, SMK Green Road Kuching, SMK Kampung Nangka Sibu, SMK Saribas Betong, SMK Tung Hua Sibu and SMK Asajaya Samarahan.

A total of 5,769 candidates sat for the 2021 STPM throughout Sarawak at 81 registered centres.
