KOTA SAMARAHAN: SMK Muara Tuang launched its Highly Immersive Programme (HIP) at the school hall on last 12 April.
The launching ceremony was graced by the school principal Ahmat Daud Haji Lugom.
Ahmat in his speech stressed the importance of improving the English language proficiency of students through enhanced exposure to the language.
“Through the HIP, students will have opportunities to use English not only in the classroom but also outside the classroom, extra classes and during outreach activities” he said.
Among the activities planned under the progranme are movie corner, song dedications and monthly assemblies conducted in English.
“To make the programme a success, cooperation from everyone especially the school administration, teachers, students and parents are needed,” he disclosed.
The launching ceremony was enlivened with Student Voice Group performance and MT16 Muara Tuang’s own band boys’ performance.
