MERADONG: SMK Tong Hua here will undergo upgrading works and the project is expected to be completed within four months.
The project costing RM100,000 will be upgraded under the Rural Transformation Project (RTP).
Meradong assemblyman Datuk Ding Kiong Hiing in a simple ceremony handed over the project to Sarikei Division Public Works Department (JKR) as the implementing agent.
“The close cooperation between the implementing agencies is much needed to constantly monitor the project,” he said.
He said this was also to ensure that the project would be completed on schedule.
Meanwhile, the school’s Parent and Teacher Association (PIBG) also proposed to repair the fence and solve the stagnant water outside the school fence by widening up the drain.
