KUCHING: The vaccine rollout at the Telaga Air vaccination centre (PPV) was conducted smoothly, said Assistant Minister in the Chief Minister’s Department (Islamic Affairs and DBKU) Datuk Dr Abdul Rahman Junaidi.

He also said that the vaccine recipients complied with the standard operating procedures.

“Since operational, Telaga Air PPV has successfully vaccinated the people according to the given time,” Dr Abdul Rahman, who is also the Assistant Minister of Utilities (Water Supply), said after visiting the centre on Tuesday (June 15).

The Pantai Damai assemblyman said the establishment of the PPV helps to expedite the vaccination process.

“We can see that many residents are happy after receiving the vaccines,” he said.

He also thanked the agencies involved such as the Ministry of Health Malaysia, as well as the Sarawak State Disaster Management Committee for facilitating the vaccination process.

“Village safety and development committee and village volunteers also assisted at the PPV,” he said.

Telaga Air Health Clinic is one of the three PPVs in the Pantai Damai state constituency.
