BETONG: A hospital employee was shocked to discover a gold-ringed cat snake coiled up at the window at the hospital’s general office yesterday (Sept 25).

Fearing for the safety of the staff, the Civil Defence Force (APM) Betong was quickly alerted which despatched a four-member team to the scene at 6.20pm to catch the snake.

It did not take long for the team to spot the reptile and capture it using a snake hook.

The snake, measuring about three feet long, was later released to its original habitat away from the hospital and residential area.
