SIMUNJAN: Balai Ringin State Assemblyman, Snowdan Lawan will upgrade the sports field at Kampung Sebangkoi Jaya, Simunjan in future.
He said the sports field could promote more social and sports activities among the residents.
“Besides upgrading the field, we are also planning to build a pavilion (stage) for the purpose of organising an agricultural carnival which is scheduled to be held in the longhouse areas later.
“These two facilities will be able to help Persatuan Pemuda Parti Rakyat Sarawak (PRS) Balai Ringin branch to implement various sports activities,” he said without specifying the cost of the projects.
Meanwhile, Snowdan, in his speech at the opening of the Football and Sepak Takraw Competitions organised by the Youth Section of PRS Balai Ringin Branch advised the youths to stay united so that they could help bring more development to the Balai Ringin Constituency.
He announced an allocation of RM10,000 to the Village Security and Development Committee (JKKK) of Rumah Suntat, Sebangkoi Jaya and another RM7,000 for the Women’s Bureau of the longhouse.
