MUKAH: Social media will be the main approach to attract young people especially in the Balingian area and Mukah in general to come out and vote this time.
Balingian assemblyman Abdul Yakub Arbi said he is well aware that young people are very much into social media such as Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp and so on.
He said this when met by reporters during the Balingian Community Leader Programme here on Today.
In addition to social media, he said most platforms such as newspapers and local television stations such as Radio Television Malaysia (RTM) and TV Sarawak (TVS) will also be used.
Being in the field is also a priority, hence he plans to also meet directly with the voters so that they do not choose the wrong party.
He advised the youth aged 18 to 21 years to vote responsibly.
“Don’t be too consumed by information on social media that may not be very authentic, think about the existing government that has proven itself especially in the development of the people and the prosperity of the people,” he said.
