KUCHING: Sarawak Children’s Cancer Society (SCCS) has reopened the slots for the sponsorship of Wednesday breakfast for little cancer fighters.
According to its Facebook page, since Dec last year, tremendous support by the locals here have enabled the distribution of 920 breakfast packs to the little fighters in Kuching, Miri and Bintulu over the period of three months.
“With our current supply lasting for another two weeks, we are looking for kind sponsors to donate breakfast packs,” it said.
It explained that every Wednesday, its team would distribute about 45 breakfast packs to children attending their clinic appointments at the Sarawak General Hospital’s Paediatric Specialist Clinic in Kozi Square, and kids at the ward.
“The simple breakfast pack serves as a meal to some kids as they have to wake up early for their check-ups or as snacks to munch on while waiting,” it said.
