KUCHING: Parti Bumi Kenyalang (PBK) has named Lue Cheng Hing as the candidate representing the triparty alliance of PBK-Parti Sarawak Bersatu (PSB)-Parti Bansa Dayak Sarawak (PBDS) to contest in the Stampin parliamentary seat.

According to a statement issued by PBK, Lue is a software engineer by profession and joined the party about three years ago.

He also contested in the Sentosa state seat in the previous state election.

“Lue has decided to join the local coalition of local parties under PBK to contest in parliamentary election and urged Sarawakians, especially young voters, to defend their rights and send opposition local coalition candidates to the federal level,” the statement said.

Lue pointed out that Malayan-based parties had not respected the intrinsic rights of Sarawak as partner states and called for Sarawak’s own local parties to be more aggressive in protecting Sarawak’s sovereignty and resources.
