SIBU: The mobile vaccination centre operated by the Sibu Health office will be operating at Durin multipurpose hall for four days from today till Sunday.

After the mobile team managed to vaccinate the residents in Bawang Assan in just four days using the ‘inject first, register later’ initiative, Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Dudong branch chairman Wong Ching Yong, hoped that the residents in Durin would use the opportunity to get their vaccine jab.

“Residents (in Durin) no longer need to travel far to Sibu Jaya Community Hall or Sibu Indoor Stadium to get their vaccinations because a mobile unit has been set up here.

“From today (Wednesday) until Sunday (June 19), all residents here are urged to come to this centre to get vaccinated so that we can form the herd immunity to break the chain of Covid-19 infection immediately,” he said, adding Durin has a population of about 3,000 people from 25 longhouses as well as four Chinese villages.
