Song’s first Chinese Pemanca receives appointment letter

KAPIT: Secretary of Sarawak United People’s Party (SUPP) Song Bazaar, Toh Tze Hua, has become the first Pemanca for the Chinese in the district.

A former councillor of Kapit District Council, the 64-year-old Toh, who is a businessman, received his appointment letter from Deputy Chief Minister Tan Sri Datuk Amar Dr James Jemut Masing in the conference room of Bletih State Complex here recently.

Among those who witnessed the presentation of the letter were Kapit MP Datuk Alexander Nanta Linggi, Hulu Rajang MP Datuk Wilson Ugak Kumbong, Pelagus assemblyman Wilson Nyabong Ijang, Murum assemblyman Kennedy Chukpai Ugon, Kapit Resident Joseph Belayong, and Song District Officer Jacklyn August, and community leaders.

Other than Toh, the other Chinese community leaders in Song District are Penghulu Lim Eng Hock, Kapitan John Kho and Kapitan Hung Hau Kai.

Toh is active in various Chinese-based non-governmental organisations, namely, Tai Pek Kong Kiang Lin Ten Temple and Song Chinese Social Welfare Committee.
