SIBU: Sibu deputy police chief Collin Babat on Saturday (August 1) made a stop at the Sibu Central Market to monitor the use of face masks by the public.

He and his team also made inspection at the Pahlawan Bus Terminal, and Everwin Supermarket Store in Pahlawan.

“We had to closely monitor the public compliance with the mandatory wearing of face masks and the standard operating procedures (SOPs) especially on social distancing,” he said.

Attendance book, temperature checker and hand sanitiser are provided by Sibu Municipal Council (SMC), he added.

The monitoring team constantly monitors and ensures that the public and all vendors comply with the SOPs which have been set, he said.
