SPAOH: A 24-year-old man, believed to be a break-in suspect in Spaoh, was arrested by police recently.
Betong District Police chief, Deputy Superintendent Fahdil Antum Abdullah said the suspect was believed to be involved in many housebreaking cases in the district.
“Initial investigation revealed that the suspect was involved about 90 per cent of the break-in cases here,” he said.
He said the latest break-in case the suspect was involved prior to the arrest was at Kampung Masjid Lama Spaoh.
Fahdil said the police also seized an axe, a cleaver, four boxes of Firmax products worth RM180 each and a gas cylinder.
“The suspect is remanded until Friday and the case is being investigated under Section 457 of the Penal Code,” he said.
