BETONG: Betong Division Development Agency (BDDA) is collaborating with the Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH) to establish a haemodialysis centre in Spaoh.

Deputy Premier Datuk Amar Douglas Uggah Embas revealed that the proposed cost is RM1 million.

“They have agreed to the collaboration between BDDA and Spaoh Health Clinic (KK) to build a hemodialysis centre in Spaoh costing 1 million.

“This haemodialysis centre is needed because many people in Spaoh require this treatment.

“So, this is an agreement we reached today (yesterday), and thanks to MOH,” he said.

Earlier, Uggah received a visit from Deputy Health Minister Datuk Lukanisman Awang Sauni to Spaoh Health Clinic.

The Bukit Saban assemblyman also requested the government to build a new Type Four Health Clinic (KK4) in Spaoh.

“Today, Lukanisman was brought to see the proposed site for the new construction of Spaoh KK.

“The current status is for land acquisition, followed by considerations for the funds to construct the clinic,” he said.

Additionally, he mentioned that a new request was made due to the existing health clinic being in a very dilapidated condition.

MOH has approved RM350,000 this year to upgrade Spaoh KK.

Lukanisman also symbolically handed over an ambulance to Spaoh KK.
