MIRI: The “United Nations Day Blood Donation” campaign will be held on this Sunday Oct 18.

This blood drive is organised by the Malaysian Red Crescent, Miri District, Blood Donor Recruitment Committee (BDRC) in collaboration with the Lions Club of Miri Mandarin.

Donors are requested to register between 8.30am and 1pm at the Miri Red Crescent Training Institute at Jalan Bulan Sabit Merah, the venue for the blood donation campaign.

All successful donors will receive a Certificate of Appreciation each, five pieces of facemasks and various refreshments.

The co-organising chairmen for this event are Cr. Karambir Singh and Mary Yii.

For the record, Miri Hospital requires an estimated 8,000 pints every year.

Cr Karambir Singh, the deputy chairman of the BDRC thanked all the many organisations who have come forward during this challenging time for their effort and contributions.
