MIRI: Pustaka Negeri Sarawak, Miri will be collaborating with Malaysian Healthy Ageing Society (MHAS) to hold a community event supported by CCM Pharmaceuticals on this September 22 and 23 to empower the elderly to live an independent and healthier life style.
The event is to be held from 7:30am to 5.15pm on the September 22 and from 8:30am to 2:00pm on September 23 in the library’s Auditorium. The organisers are inviting both the young and elderly public to come and receive practical advice from the professionals on prevention and self-empowerment towards a holistic and wellness focused life.
The aim of this event is to provide an in-depth knowledge with practical demonstrations for specialised care and to understand the importance in prevention of illness. The programme includes practical approaches on stroke rehabilitation, coping with dementia, nutrition for healthy ageing and nursing care for a dependent elderly.
Registration fee is RM50 and is inclusive of refreshments and goodie bags worth RM100.
