KUCHING: Speed-bumps have recently been put up along Lorong 2, in Stampin Reset t lement Scheme after residents complained of speeding vehicles that posed a grave danger to them and other road users and had caused a number of accidents.

They said that on most evenings, there are also cyclists, joggers and strollers using the road leading to their housing estate.

As such, they have requested for speed bumps to be constructed as a safety precaution to prevent people from speeding in the neighbourhood. SUPP Public Complain Bureau Chief, Wilfred Yap took up the case with Kuching City South and went to the ground to solve the issue.

On a separate matter, Yap and SUPP members living in Stampin Resettlement Scheme will be the eyes of the community to ensure that the roads in the Scheme are in good condition and maintained properly for the benefit of the community living there.

Yap will continue to highlight and try to resolve issues of public interest affecting the community living in Stampin Resettlement Scheme.
