SPM: 85 in SMK Sacred Heart score 5A and above

SIBU: A total of 85 students of SMK Sacred Heart scored 5A and above in the 2016 Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM).

Six students scored 11A, 11 obtained 10A, eight students got 9A, 15 with 8A, 13 students got 7A, 14 obtained 6A and 18 of them scored 5A.

SMK Sacred Heart was second best in Sibu and was seventh top in Sarawak government school with a School Average Grade (GPS) of 3.25.

Out of 239 students, 211 are eligible to receive SPM certificate with a passing rate of 97.24 per cent.

Speaking at a ceremony held at the school hall, SMK Sacred Heart Senior Assistant 1, Ling Ngie Ming, who represented the school’s principal David Teo attributed the achievement to the hard work and commitment of teachers, students, parents-teachers association, school board and the close cooperation between the school and parents.

“The teachers and students worked very hard to achieve the excellent result,” he added.
