DEBAK: Five sports events in three villages will be held in conjunction with the Saberkas Sports Carnival (KASUS) Saribas branch from Aug 18 to 21.
The organiser’s spokesperson said it involves futsal, sepak takraw, badminton, basketball and pangka gasing.
“For this edition, three villages will be involved, namely for futsal in Kampung Serembang, while sepak takraw is in Kampung Bungin.
“Badminton, basketball and pangka gasing will be held in Debak,” he said here yesterday.
He explained that KASUS is a platform for unearthing new talents in the field of sports in addition to nurturing a group of youth with high integrity.
He also said that the organising of sports events was now a trend of unification and unity among teenagers and youth.
“KASUS also helps a lot in building leadership qualities, cooperation and a high fighting spirit in each team to be the best,” he said.
He said the residents of Saribas in general and the youth in particular are invited to come together to enliven the carnival from Aug 18 to 21.
