SIBU: Sibu Rural District Council (SRDC) held a dialogue with traders from Pasar Ria and Pasar Tamu in Sibu Jaya here yesterday

The dialogue is to brief traders on the council’s revised trading rules and regulations and to obtain feedback from the traders.

SRDC deputy chairman Robert Lau was among those  present at the dialogue session.

One of the key changes for both groups of traders is the decision by SRDC to issue permits to traders who are willing to trade permanently.

The fees are fixed at RM60 per month, which is what they will be paying currently if they trade everyday (RM2 per day).

SRDC will provide new tables for the traders next week.
