SRI AMAN: Abang Mohamad Porkan Abang Budiman has been appointed as the new Resident of Sri Aman.

The Sarawak Public Communications Unit (UKAS) said in a news report that his appointment took effect on Jan 3.

Abang Mohamad Porkan previously served in the Sarikei Resident’s Office and replaced Sirai Daha, who officially moved to the Ministry of Food Industry, Commodity and Regional Development (M-FICORD).

The handover of duties ceremony saw acting Sri Aman Resident Elvis Didit handing over duties to Abang Mohamad Porkan at the Sri Aman Resident’s Office here recently.

Elvis Didit, when met said, he hoped that the new Resident will be able to continue his previous duties in bringing more development to Sri Aman.

“I hope that the tasks that have not been implemented before can be continued by the new Resident and I call on all government agencies in Sri Aman Division to work closely with the new Resident,” he said.

Meanwhile, Abang Mohamad Porkan said he would like to officers working closely with one another to deliver the best service for the Sri Aman community.
