KUCHING: The new champion of SSC-FAS League 2022 will be crowned tomorrow (Dec 3) between Serian FA and Miri FA.

The competition, co-organised by Sarawak Sports Corporation (SSC) and Football Association of Sarawak (FAS) sponsored by Lea Sports Centre (LSC), will see its final kick off at 4.15pm at Stadium Negeri.

Director of the competition, Awang Madihi Awang Yatim said that this competition was held to unearth more new talents in football for Sarawak.

“Our main objective is to unearth new talents so the players can have a platform to show what they can do and eventually take the next step in representing Sarawak and the clubs of Sarawak, mainly Kuching City FC and Sarawak United FC, on the national level or even further which is to represent Malaysia on the international stage.

“We would also like to use this competition as a platform for the younger players to gain more playing experience and increase their potential by playing in these competitive matches on a higher level.

He added that this is the second year in a row where this competition was held.

“However, this is the first time it was held for U20 (under-20 category).
