This was disclosed by Sarawak Sports Corporation (SSC) acting chief executive officer Semawi Mohamad.

“It (the stadium) is ready but we want to make it even better. This is because it reflects Sarawak’s image.

“We are eager to show the MFL that we are prepared to welcome the visiting teams,” he said during a site visit on Tuesday (Feb 8).

At the same time, he said fans are welcomed to watch the matches and show their support for their favourite teams.

“Based on the current (Covid-19) standard operating procedures, spectators for sport events are allowed at 50 per cent capacity of the sports venue.”

The Super League is scheduled to kick off on March 4 with newly promoted Sarawak United FC taking on Kedah Darul Aman FC at Stadium Negeri.
