KUCHING: Sarawak Criminal Investigation Department (CID) chief SAC Mat Zani @ Mohd Salahuddin Che Ali will be transferred to Bukit Aman police headquarters next month.
He will assume the post of Bukit Aman Narcotics Criminal Investigation Department’s principal assistant director (Intelligence/International Relations).
He swaps duties with SAC Lukas Aket who will become Sarawak CID chief.
The Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM), in a statement, revealed that Salahuddin is among five senior officers listed for exchange orders effective Mar 8.
When contacted today, Salahuddin said he was happy with the exchange despite his short posting (about two months) as Sarawak CID chief.
He assumed the post on Nov 27 last year as Sarawak’s 27th CID chief, taking over from SAC Denis Leong Soon Kuai who was appointed as Bukit Aman NCID Narcotic Deputy Director (Enforcement/General Policing).
